Douglas College is looking for Lower Mainland coaches (recreation or elite) and sport leaders who work with developing athletes and who would like a Physical Education and Coaching student for a 15 hour fieldwork placement. The student volunteers can work with individuals or your team in practical settings, and can assist you with a variety of coaching tasks.

Volunteers at Special Olympics hold different positions. On the frontline, coaches inspire and teach athletes in sports, including 5- and 10-pin bowling, alpine skiing, basketball, bocce, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, floor hockey, powerlifting, rhythmic gymnastics, soccer, softball, snowshoeing, speed skating, swimming, and track and field. No experience is required to be a coach-we provide the training as long as you supply a winning attitude!
