The Level 4/5 program falls under the jurisdiction of the National Sport Organizations (NSOs). They work with the National Coaching Institutes (NCIs) in the approval of candidates, identification of master Coaches and any specific content or evaluation procedures. In some cases, NSOs offer sport-specific tasks toward Level 4/5 certification. The NCIs offer a competency-based Diploma Program that integrates classroom study with a coaching practicum in partnership with a highly qualified Master Coach.
Levels 4 and 5 currently consists of an applied study program of 12 and 20 tasks respectively. These tasks or modules may be 'customized' by the National Sport Organizations to suit the needs of their coaches. To receive Level 4 certification, coaches must complete at least 12 tasks including Task #9 and Task #12; the remaining tasks are completed for Level 5 certification. Note: The Level 4/5 NCCP program is currently being revamped in order to align with the new NCCP structure. Stay tuned for more details.
